Aaron Eugene Welch, Jr.

February 14, 1938 — March 23, 2021

Aaron Eugene Welch, Jr., age 83, died Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at his residence in Hamilton.
He was born February 14, 1938 to Aaron Eugene Welch, Sr. and Bertha Baughn Smith in
Monroe County, MS. Born in Hamilton, he was a life long resident and was a graduate of
Hamilton High School. He joined the U. S. Air Force right after school. He married Mary Ann
West in 1957. His longtime career would span over forty years at Walker Manufacturing. After
retirement he drove a school bus for Monroe County Schools for many years where he had great
pride and passion for the kids. He enjoyed traveling, especially out West to the National Parks
(Yellowstone). He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. His grandchildren and great grandchildren
were his life and when he was sick they made his day bright.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2021 at Center Hill Baptist Church in Hamilton
with Bro. Mason Welch and Bro. Terry Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Center Hill
Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Welch of Hamilton, MS; three sons, Dewayne Welch
(Pam) of Hamilton, MS, Terry Welch (Janet) of Hamilton, MS, and Danny Welch (Mechelle) of
Hamilton, MS’ one sister, Annette McElrath of Columbus, MS; ten grandchildren, Anthony
Welch (Amy), Jason Welch, (Erin), Courtney Bennett (Jarriott), Dylan Welch (Sierra), Dustin
Welch, Mason Welch (Hayley), Austin Welch (Whitney), Tucker Welch, Stefan Sartori (Nicole),
and Silvia Sartori; thirteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jeanette Harrison (Billy Joe).
Pallbearers are Anthony Welch, Jason Welch, Dylan Welch, Mason Welch, Austin Welch, and
Tucker Welch.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time, Friday, March 26, 2021 at Center Hill
Baptist Church in Hamilton.
Memorials may be made to Center Hill Baptist Church or American Diabetes Association.
