Almeda Evaline Holding

Nettleton- Almeda Evaline (Halsey) Holding , 78, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Rockview, West Virginia on December 14, 1942 to parents Woodrow Halsey and Lucy (Tilley) Halsey. She had resided in the Nettleton area for the last 21 years. Almeda enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, cooking and entertaining. She enjoyed music especially Bluegrass and old gospel hymns.

A private family Memorial Service will be held later at Shiloh Methodist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Chris Monteith (Dale) of Nettleton, MS; one son, Tom Burks (Gayla) of Acworth, GA; five grandchildren, Melissa Monteith (Victor) of Tupelo, MS; Chelsea Goff (Drew) of Nettleton, MS; Kimberly Phillips (Sawyer) of Birmingham, AL; Forrest Burks of Atlanta, GA; and Bailey Burks of Atlanta, GA great grandchildren Skyler and Noah Marrison, of Tupelo, MS; Tucker and Paisley Goff of Nettleton, MS; two brothers, Cyril Halsey (Maxine) of Concord NH; and Gary Halsey (Geraldine) of Matheny, WV.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hank Holding, parents Woodrow and Lucy Halsey.
