Annette Sunshine Rowell Taylor, 68, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Baptist Memorial Hospital—Golden Triangle in Columbus. She was born on July 3, 1957 in Amory to James Alvin and Catherine Mann Rowell. She was the wife of Gary Taylor who loved her family fiercely. With a personality as big as the world, she was known as the “Dancing Queen” and she never left home without having her hair done and her jewelry on. Her hobbies included crafting and shopping. Annette had an adventurous spirit and loved to ride motorcycles.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen with Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating. Burial will follow in the Egger Cemetery.
She is survived by husband, Gary Taylor; her son, Gary Taylor; daughters, Anita Frost (David), Becky Thurston (Mark), Brandy Surunis, and Nicole Champeau; brother, Cecil Rodgers; grandchildren, Lee Estes (April), Brittany Estes, Raymond Estes, Brooklyn, Chris and London Bridges and Chelsea Carter (Matt); great grandchildren, Colten Estes, Anna Lynn Dodson, Matthew Howell, Amelia Sunuris, Phoenix Ward, Grayson Ward, Lukas Otts, and Jon Ryan Sutton; nieces and nephews, Rachel Rodgers, Jimmy Johns, Travis Johns, Tracy Allison, Stacy Dyer, and Anthony Cain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Tony Rodgers and Donna Johns; and grandson, Connor Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Lee Estes, Raymond Estes, Matt Carter, Collin Walters, Jason Lindsey, Jerry Johnson, Chris Bridges, and D.J. Pitts.
Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
