Barbara Bean

Barbara Jean Smith Bean, 86, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at the Care Center of Aberdeen. Born on December 15, 1938, she was a daughter to Albert Benton and Inez Neal Smith. A devoted member of First Christian Church in Aberdeen, she married Mr. Sidney Bean in 1954. Involved in the greatest work of all, she was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, and she was a very talented painter. She amassed an extensive collection of cookbooks which was a testament to her superior culinary skills.

Services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Sidney Bean of Aberdeen; her daughter, Belinda Stahl (Bo), Hamilton; one son, Richard Bean (Laken), Hamilton; two grandchildren, Lucas Stahl (Lindsey) and Tony Stahl; 4 great grandchildren, Sidney Amelia Stahl, Rosie Stahl, Aiden Stahl, and Madison Stahl; her sister, Rebecca Jones, Columbus; two nieces, Lisa Jones and Leslie Hitchcock; and her nephew, Wesley Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
