Belinda Craven

Belinda Smithson Craven, 70, passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 6, 2026, at her home. Born in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of Thomas Abert Smithson and Ludie Ailene (Honeycutt) Smithson. She was a 1974 graduate of Hamilton High School, and she later married Wayne Craven on April 16, 1976. An accomplished restauranteur, Belinda owned and operated Crossroads in the late 1970s, Lakeside, Our Place and TAG’s Surf & Turf restaurants where she made many lifelong friends. She was a true bargain hunter who enjoyed shopping and she loved to travel and listen to live music. She was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home, Aberdeen with Bro. Dennis Smithey officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Church Cemetery in Hamilton.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 50 years, Wayne Craven; sons, Dusty Alexander Craven (Michele), Starkville, Addison Bruff, Lackey, and Joshua Bruff (Alexis), Lackey; daughters, Dana Pickel (Jamie), Carthage, MS and Demika Ross, Hamilton; grandchildren, Gavin Ross, Abigail Pickel, Thomas Wayne Ross, Samantha Gail Craven, Alexander Wayne Craven, and Brinley Bruff; many cousins; special friends, Dorothy Malone and the employees and customers of TAG’s.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Greg Miller, Jordan Hawkins, Kenneth Lackey, Gavin Ross, Nathan Reeves, Brandon Davis, Rufus Harris, and Johnny McMillan.

Visitation will be from noon until the service time on Monday at the funeral home.
