Betty Jernigan

Betty Ann Rogers Jernigan, 80, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023 at her residence.  She was born on April 13, 1943 to Atwell and Qmilla McGill Rogers.  She lived most of her life in the Nettleton area and worked at Reed’s Manufacturing before her retirement.  He hobbies included fishing, going to church, and watching her hummingbirds.  In addition, she liked watching games shows and westerns on television.  She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.                   

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2023 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Nettleton with Bro. Jackie Pate officiating.  Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery.  

She is survived by one son, Sammy Jernigan (Mary); one grandson, Zachary Jernigan; three sisters, Donna Wise (Gib), Jean Edwards, and Minnie Dale Dillard (Willie); 2 brothers, Carl Rogers (Geneva) and Tommy Rogers (Dottie); and a host of nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Ludean Haney.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Young, Jerry Bishop, Jimmy Dale Rogers, Ethan Daugherty, Sloan Henry, Eleasar Fraga, and Chris Clemons.  

Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:30 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
