Billy "Jube" Wayne Harris

Billy "Jube" Wayne Harris, 89, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026 at the NMMC-Tupelo. He was born in Monroe County on August, 18, 1937 to parents Romie Lee Harris and Rosa Lee (Caldwell) Harris. He was a lifelong resident of Nettleton and was of the Christian faith. He was a former co-owner of B&H Body Shop and along with his wife had established and owned Harris Grocery Store. He enjoyed watching westerns on television, playing the lottery, playing solitaire on the computer and when he was able he loved working in his garden.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at 2 pm in the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton with Bro Bubba Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert Smith, Alan Kilgore, Mike Brown and Jimmy Gist.

Honorary pallbearer will be Jamie Baulch.

Visitation will be prior to service from 12-2 pm at the funeral home.

He is survived by one son, Rickey Harris (Kim), one daughter, Deanna Smith (Robert), one step-son, Ricky Inmon (Tammi), one step-daughter, Rhonda Vaughn (Mike), 7 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a special sister-in-law, Winnie Gist (Jimmy).

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 52 years, Martha Harris, one step-son, Randle Inmon, one brother, Troy Harris and one sister, Doris Stevens.
