Nettleton- Billy David Tartt, 68, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 at his residence in Nettleton. He was born on February 25, 1955 in Monroe County to parents James Alvis Tartt ,Sr., and Myrtis (McClendon) Tartt. He was a lifelong resident of Monroe County. He had served in the Mississippi National Guard. He was a mechanic by trade and worked on equipment in the furniture industry. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be in the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Nettleton on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Bro. Ben Raper and Bro. John Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife Janice (Griggs) Tartt, three sons, David Tartt (Dessica), Ayden Lane Tartt, Steven Holley, two daughters, Bridgett Tartt, Megan Inez Tartt, two brothers, James A. Tartt, Jr., Terry Lynn Tartt (Wendy), five grandchildren, Lynzzi Henderson, Makinley Holley, Emma Holley, Kynzzi McCaffrey, Taylor Tartt, one great grandchild, Alice Henderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Rex Tartt and one sister Linda Tartt Johnson.

 Pallbearers will be Mark Carroll, Brandon Gray, Cameron Foster, David Henderson, David Tartt, Larry Farrar and Mikey Smith.
