Bobby Pennington

Nettleton- Robert Alvis "Bobby" Pennington,74, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at the NMMC in Tupelo. He was born on November 12, 1949 in Itawamba County to parents Charles Overton Pennington and Margie Fay (Young) Pennington. He lived most of his life in the Nettleton area. He proudly served in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He was a retired traffic manager for a trucking company. Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening to music and he was an avid Alabama sports fan.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton with Bro. Eugene Conwill officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery. 

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Pennington, one daughter, Tonia MacDonald (Kenji), two grandchildren, Kali Johnson (Josh) and Reid Johnson, one brother, Mike Pennington, one sister, Barbara Miller and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Robert Allen Pennington and one brother, Charles Larry Pennington.

Pallbearers will be Reid Johnson, Manuel Miller, Peyton Miller, David Loveless, Pierce Thornton and Justin Lee.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home and then on Saturday one hour before service time.
