Charles E. “Buddy” Earnest, Jr., 73, died Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at the M.S. Care Center in Corinth, MS. He was born October 19, 1945, in West Point, MS to Charles E. Earnest, Sr. and Lois Awtrey Earnest. He was a life long resident of Aberdeen. He served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. Mr. Earnest was the former owner of Buddy’s One Stop and Car Wash and the owner of Home Town Cleaners. He was a member of the Aberdeen First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife Laura Arthur Earnest of Aberdeen; one daughter Laura Anne Baty (Shane) of Aberdeen; one son Billy Earnest of Asheville N.C.; two sisters Linda Hollis (Jim) of Meridian, MS and Lois E. Hart of Salem, S.C.; eight grandchildren Kelly Bennett, Jessica Goddard, Matthew, Austin and Emma Walker, and Allen, Abby and John Evan Baty; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Emma Louise Earnest and one brother- in- law Len Hart.
