Cheryl Sue Owens

Cheryl Sue (Stone) Owens,61, passed away on Monday, June 29 at the NMMC-Tupelo. She was born in Lowndes County on September 16, 1964 to parents George Stone and Nancy (Hillhouse) Alred. Cheryl  was a graduate of Okolona High School. She lived most of her life in the Shannon area. She retired as a seamstress from Style-Line Furniture in Verona after 25 years. She was of the Christian faith. Cheryl enjoyed reading, fishing, cooking, watching television and especially spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Services will be at 11 AM on Friday, July 3, 2026 in the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral  Home in Nettleton with Rev. Jordan Davis officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Shannon.

Visitation will be from 9-11 am at the funeral home.

She is survived by her husband, Jackie Owens of Shannon; one daughter, Kelly Ann Ray of Okolona; one step-son, Travis Waylon Owens of Smithville; four grandchildren, Emma Ruth Jackson, Kallen Ryder Jackson, Addie Owens, Rowan Owens, one sister, Cathy Seals of Shannon; several aunts and uncles and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Terry Stone.

Pallbearers will be Willian Owens, Waylon Owens, David Owens and Samuel Kennedy.
