Clyde Leroy Moody, 79, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at his home in Nettleton. He was born on February 13, 1946 in Union County to Leroy and Annie Tidwell Moody. Clyde lived in the Nettleton area for many years and was married to former Glenda Lee Hallmark. For 30 years, he drove for Action Transport, and he was a member of Limestone Baptist Church. He took great pride in helping his neighbors, and he volunteered with the Cason Fire Department. His hobbies included camping, yard work, gardening, rabbit hunting, and riding his side-by-side. A devoted husband, and attentive father, he spent his time helping his two sons with any project they had going.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton with Bro. Don McCutchen and Bro. Webb Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.
In addition to his wife of 54 years, Glenda Moody, he is survived by two sons, Thomas Moody (Dianna), Nettleton and Michael Moody (Nicole), Nettleton; one sister, Diane Moody, Pontotoc; and 4 grandchildren, Devin, Emma Kate, Livie Faye, and Noah.
Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers, Paul and Johnny Moody; and nephew, Charles Jumper.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Kennedy, Alan Coleman, Billy McGraw, Jimmy Rollins, David Lee, and Adam Oliver. Honorary pallbearers will be Noah Oliver and James Goss.
Visitation will be on Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home in Nettleton.
