Dale R. Wilemon, 83, passed away from this life on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at his residence in Aberdeen. Born in Itawamba County on May 10, 1942, he was a son to Fray and Opal Stevens Wilemon. A 1960 graduate of Aberdeen High School, he played football, basketball and was selected for Boys’ State. On September 8, 1962, he married his high school sweetheart, the former Glenda Jean Hunter. He earned a business degree from Mississippi State University and upon graduation started working for the Mississippi State Tax Commission. After a short time with the Tax Commission, he began working with the family business, Wilemon Lumber Company, in Aberdeen and Iuka. He also worked for the family trucking business in Casper, WY. For the last 45 years, he was president of Monroe Kut, Inc. retiring in 2022. Dale enjoyed hunting, especially turkey hunting, and loved gardening and working in the yard. He also liked to snow and water ski and spend time with family at their cabin. He had a great love for his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren with whom he deeply enjoyed spending time. He was a long-time member of Friendship Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, song leader, and Sunday school teacher.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Friendship Baptist Church with Bro. Todd Bowen, Bro. Bob Sexton, Bro. Mike Bell, and Bro. Sonny Clay officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by two sons, Todd Wilemon (Debbie), Aberdeen and Scott Wilemon, Aberdeen; grandchildren, Michael Ann Tally (Jim), Saltillo; Laura Leigh Nabors (Jake), Kosciusko; Carley Wilemon, Oxford and Dalton Wilemon, Goldsboro, NC; great grandchildren, Grayson and Jase Tally and Ryleigh and Addie Nabors; brothers, Ernie Wilemon (Cynthia), Fulton and Don Wilemon (Shirley), St. Cloud, FL; sister, Mitzi Wilemon, Orange Beach, AL; sister-in-law, Tina Holliday, Ridgeland; a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Opal, Fray & Ralph Wilemon; mother and father In-law Addie Rhea & Grady Hunter; brother-in-law, Dan Holliday; and his wife, of 62 years, Glenda Wilemon.
Pallbearers will be Dalton Wilemon, Jim Tally, Jake Nabors, Sonny Clay, Ernie Wilemon, and Don Wilemon. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Friendship Baptist Church.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the church.
