Donald Savage

Donald Ray Savage, 84, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at North Mississippi Medical Center-Gilmore in Amory.  He was born on December 24, 1937 in Perkins, OK to Curtis Monroe and Viola Omega Dupuy Savage.  He was a resident of the Coontail Community and he was a rig supervisor in the oil field services prior to his retirement.  An avid outdoorsman, he was a competitive muzzleloader shooter in his former years and he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.  

A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Coontail Cemetery.  Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Aberdeen is in charge of the arrangements.  Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery at 3:50 p.m.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Esther Vernell Savage of Aberdeen; stepdaughter, Robin Hester Moore of Wren; one sister, Wanda Rainey of Perkins, OK; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Lonnie and Larry Savage.
