Ellis Jaudon passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023 at his home in Greenwood Springs Mississippi.  He was born in Quincy Mississippi October 4th, 1941.  Ellis, whom his family affectionately called “Big Daddy,” will be remembered for his fierce love and dedication to his family.

Ellis is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Jaudon and Audrey (Patterson) Jaudon, and his brothers James “Gayle” Jaudon and Jerry “JC” Jaudon. He is survived by his wife, Carol (Brewer) Jaudon, children Sam (Jamie) Jaudon, Terrie (James) Jaudon Gill, and Farrah (Leo) Jaudon Seal, his grandchildren Jack (Clara) Jaudon, Brady Jaudon, Tyler (Amber) Gill, Hayden(Ashley) Gill, Micah (Justin) Gill Payne, Clayton “Jay” Gill, Leo Seal IV, and Lucy Seal and his great-grandchildren Kingston “KJ” Carter, Piper Gill, and Avery Gill, also his sister Carol (Gene-deceased) Jaudon Cannon and Brother William “Cecil” (Rachel) Jaudon.

Ellis was well known and respected by the Greenwood Springs/Hamilton community. He was a charter member of the Hamilton Baptist Church where he worshipped and raised his family in the faith.

Prior to retirement, he was a hardworking farmer and owner/operator of the Hamilton Country Club. After retiring, he could be found working in his shop or spoiling his great-grands. Ellis wasn’t having fun unless his playful teasing of the kids made them cry—even so, they always came back for more! He was also known for his keen ability to haggle a car salesman until he got the price that he wanted.

He is fondly remembered. His family and friends take comfort in the legacy that he has left behind and in the fact that he is now in the presence of our Almighty God.
