Erma Hitt

Erma Lavender Hitt, 99, passed away at her residence in Aberdeen on Friday, June 6, 2025.  She was born on August 30, 1925 in Kemper County, MS to the late Henry and Mary Aust Lavender.  On March 2, 1945 Erma married Mr. Adrian Hitt after his return from WWII.  Erma was a devoted homemaker.  She was a longtime member of Boligee Presbyterian Church where she was church secretary for many years.  

Erma is survived by her daughters, Adrianna Williams (Charles), Eutaw, AL and Martha Woodward, St. Pete Beach, FL; grandchildren, Amanda Williams, Monroeville, AL and Amber Rahim, Pleasant View, TN; great grandchildren, Mavi, Finley and Evan.

In addition to her parents and husband, Erma is preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Graveside services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Mesopotamia Cemetery in Eutaw, Al.
