Eva Jo Swiney Houk, 81, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at North MS Medical Center Hospice after an extended illness. She was born on July 31, 1937, in Parrish, AL to William Perry and Fannie Downey Swiney. Eva was a native of West Point but had resided in Nettleton for the past 20 years, was a homemaker, & a Nazarene. She enjoyed watching television, reading, & being with her family.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Hood of Nettleton; two sons, Terry Houk of Nettleton and Randall Houk of Roanoke, VA; 5 grandchildren; & 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Houk; her parents; two sisters, Ann Armstrong and Evelyn Swiney; one brother, William Ray Swiney.
