Grady Jean “Gretta” Morris Byrd, 74, died Monday, May 4, 2020, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. She was born January 5, 1946, in Vernon, AL, to Eugene Morris and Essie Mae Benefield Morris. She was a life long resident of Monroe County. She was retired from Rose Hill Furniture.
She is survived by one daughter Charlotte Reiland of Aberdeen, MS; three sons Darryl Byrd (Barbara) of Smithville, MS, Chris Byrd (Hope) of Aberdeen, MS, and Mike Byrd (Barbara) of Hamilton, MS; two brothers E.C. Morris of Aberdeen and Johnny Morris (Brenda) of Smithville, MS. nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Gene and Essie Morris and two brothers Tommy Lee Morris and Jerry Morris.
