Grafton Gray Woods

Grafton Gray Woods, 88, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025 at River Place Nursing Home in Amory, MS. He was born in Hamilton, MS on May 19, 1937 to parents Rufus Woods and Irene Mattison Woods. He retired from Dobbs Trucking. He carried mail from Hamilton, MS to Birmingham, AL. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, ride his 4-wheeler and drive his tractor. He enjoyed building deer stands. He loved entertaining  his nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews. He was a father figure to each and everyone of them. 

A Graveside service will be at 1 pm on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Oddfellows Rest Cemetery in Aberdeen with Rev. Lynn Galloway and George Woods officiating. Tisdale-Lann Memoral Funeral Home of Aberdeen has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Grafton is survived by a host of  nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: George Woods, Tom Woods, Leon Woods, Pauline Woods, Dora Rye and Margie Griggs.
