Helen Hatley

Marcia Helen (Medley) Hatley, 90, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Archers Personal Care Center in Sandersville, MS. She was born on January 10, 1933 in Monroe County to parents Grover Medley and Myrtle (Loden) Medley.  She lived most of her life in the Nettleton area. She was  a former employee of the Nettleton Public  School System where she worked in the cafeteria. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. Helen enjoyed reading her Bible and spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved being around her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be in the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.  with Bro. Edwin Pharr and Sister Margaret Brown officiating. Burial will be in McDuffie Cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Philip Hatley (Alice), three grandchildren, Ashley Purvis, Bethany Bynum, Michael Worthey, four great grandchildren and one brother, Bobby Medley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Patricia (Hatley) Worthey, her husband, J.D. Hatley and several siblings.
Pallbearers will be Ray Conwill, Austin Bynum, Kenny Adams, Larry Rawell, David Riley and Danny Riley.
Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home one hour prior service from 1:00-2:00 p.m..
