Hunter Douglas Dahlem, 32, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, in Amory.  Hunter was born on November 4, 1990, in Amory to Doug Dahlem and Tammy Logan Dahlem.  In his early years, he lived in Lake Providence, LA and currently resided in the Hamilton and Bartahatchie Communities.  He was a 2009 graduate of Hamilton High School where he played baseball, football, and basketball.  He worked for Tombigbee Loading Service, and he was a certified cotton ginner being the 4th generation in the business.  Everyone describes Hunter as a hard worker and was known for his dry sense of humor.  He was a fan of Mississippi State University sports, and he was a staple at the Left Field Lounge.  He enjoyed hunting, golf, NASCAR, and he was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, mainly Dak Prescott.  Hunter was member of Hamilton Friendship Church and he also attended Vibrant Church.  

 

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Roger McGrew and Bro. Ken Schroeder officiating.  Burial will follow in the Center Hill Cemetery.

 

He is survived by his father, Doug Dahlem (Pam) of Bartahatchie; his mother, Tammy Dahlem of Hamilton; his children, Malachi and Laynee; three brothers, Ethan Dahlem (Shelby), Brad Funderburk, and Matt Funderburk all of Hamilton; sister, Lexus Jordan of Bartahatchie; his grandmothers, Emma Dahlem Ausborn (Don) and Barbara Lewis; nieces and nephews, Kamp Dahlem, Knox Dahlem, and Kayson and Kaylee Holloway; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.  

 

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Rex Logan, Lloyd Dahlem, and Clayton Lewis; and two aunts, Melanie Martin, and Patty Dahlem.

 

Pallbearers will be Matt Funderburk, Brad Funderburk, Ethan Dahlem, Caleb Martin, Kyle Dahlem, Will Logan, Brent Whitaker, Landon Whitaker, Greg Lackie, Todd Lackie, Derek Lampkin, Cody Wyly, and Dell Lackie.

 

Visitation will be on Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be made to Teen Challenge c/o the Selma Men's Center, www.alatc.org or to a charity of choice.
