James Dudley West, 85, died Sunday, April 19, 2020, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Amory, MS. He was born July 31, 1934, in Monroe County to Dewey Hopson West and Maggie Gray West. He was a life long resident of Monroe County. Mr. West was a retired mechanic for Walker Mfg. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He attended Sulphur Springs Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by one daughter, Susan West Burks of Gattman, MS; two sons Stan West (Kim) of West Point, MS, and Jerry West (Sonya) of Gattman, MS; three grandchildren Gregory Lynn West, John Cole Burks (Anna) and Evan Michael Burks, one sister Brenda West Seymore and one brother Doyle Hopson West. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Edna McKay West, one grandson James Bradley West and four sisters.
Monroe County, MS Amory, MS Misssissippi
John Cole Burks will be officiating.
Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery.
