Janet Ann Bates Knight, 75, died Monday, May 25, 2020, at her residence. She was born in New Hope, Alabama on May 12, 1945, to Jimmy Bates and Mildred Wright Bates. She had lived in Aberdeen for the past 25 years. She was retired from Big Star Grocery in Aberdeen. Ms. Knight was affiliated with the Church of Christ. Ms. Knight is survived by two daughters Tina Knight Edmonds and Gail Knight Denton; two sisters Doris Turner (James) and Mary Frazier (Marvin); two brothers Pete Bates and Danny Bates; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and a special friend Debbie.
