Jim Moody

James A. “Jim” Moody, 80, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at the Care Center of Aberdeen. He was born in Middleton, TN on September 14, 1942 to Albert and Bessie Lorantz Moody.  He grew up in the Corinth and Booneville area and dutifully served in the U.S. Army.  For many years he was a court reporter in the federal justice system.  He married the former Hester Lee Neely who preceded him in death.

A private family service will be held later.

He is survived by his son, Mark Yagar (Melissa) of Aberdeen; one sister, Dorothy Ford (Hershel) of Brandon, MS; 5 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hester Lee Moody; and a son, Mark Moody.
