Jimmie Glenn Sullivan, 79, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019, at his daughter’s residence after an extended illness. He was born on May 1, 1939, in Lee County to Kirby Bryan and Lena Mae Hall Sullivan. He was a lifelong resident of Nettleton, a retired employee of 15 years at Lane Manufacturing of Saltillo, and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Nettleton. Jimmie enjoyed going hunting and fishing, working on cars and selling them, and being with his family. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Barnes Sullivan of Nettleton; one daughter, Tammy Clippard (David) of Nettleton; one son, Ronald Myron Sullivan (Abby) of Nettleton; three stepchildren, Donald, Tim, & Shawn Denton; one brother, Elbert “Red” Sullivan of Nettleton; 7 grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Jeremy and Bryan Sullivan; three sisters; one brother. Pallbearers will be Jamie Harlow, Tim Johnson, Glenn Barnes, Donald Denton, Tim Denton, Shawn Denton. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
