Julie Guest

Julie Delores Guest, 65, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.  Born on February 6, 1958, she was a daughter to Felix Tubb, Sr. and Bea Hunter Tubb Gray. Growing up in the Wren and Aberdeen areas, she married Dell Guest on January 11, 1974 and for many years she worked as secretary in the family business but her most important role was that of being a homemaker for her family.  Julie was led in life by her deep and abiding faith in God which led her to be an active and integral part of the North Mississippi Worship Center where she worked with the ladies group whom she loved and was a vital part of the Monday Prayer Warriors.  She loved the beauty of God’s creation and could often be found tending to her flowers which gave her great enjoyment.  

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at North Mississippi Worship Center with Bro. Jimmy Winders officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Hope (Coontail) Cemetery.  Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. 

In addition to her husband of 49 years, Dell Guest of Aberdeen; her mother, Bea Tubb Gray (Clyde) of Becker; one son, Ben Guest (Kimberly) of Hamilton; two daughters, Carrie Thompson (Jason) of Wren and Holly Smith (Jason) of Blue Springs; two brothers, Felix Tubb, Jr. (Cindy) of Wren and Danny Tubb of Wren; one sister, Sandra Switzer (Bobby) of Aberdeen; 10 grandchildren, Cody Wiley, Gage Morris, Caden Guest, Cricket Guest, Austin Rowell, Dylan Thompson, Jason Smith, Ethan Smith, Julianna Smith, and Gracie Smith; great grandson, Christopher Smith.

She was preceded in death by her father.  

Pallbearers will be Ben Guest, Jason Thompson, Jason Smith, Austin Rowell, Dylan Thompson, Caden Guest, Cody Wiley, Gage Morris, and Ethan Smith.

Visitation will be on Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church.
