Larry Barnes

Larry Barnes, age 66, of Hamilton, MS passed away on September 3, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital In Columbus. He was born on November 13, 1958 to parents Burney C. Barnes and Evelyn Scott Barnes in Mobile, AL. He was a proud grandfather who loved spending time with his family, as well as an avid hunter and fisherman who found joy in the outdoors. Larry retired from MEW Company in 2024 after many years of dedicated service. He will be remembered for his hard work, his devotion to family and the love he shared with those around him. He will be deeply be missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at 2 pm in the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Aberdeen with Rev. Tom Sims officiating.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Kathy Barnes; his children, Larry Barnes , Jason Barnes (Kristin), Dustin Marshall (Mary), and his cherished, grandchildren, Adam, McKinnley, Peyton, Taylor, Ana Maria and John Ross.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Burney Barnes III.
