Lori Gillespie Miller

Lori Gwen Gillespie Miller, 57, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023 at her residence in Aberdeen.  Lori was born on January 25, 1966 in Memphis to the late Barry Moore and Mary Ellen Martin Gillespie.  She grew up in Memphis and was a graduate of Evangelical Christian School and also attended the University of Memphis.  Lori enjoyed summer trips to her grandparent's home in Aberdeen as a child.  Eventually she made Aberdeen her permanent home and began a 27 year career in the banking industry as a teller.  She retired from Bancorp South in Aberdeen and continued to enjoy visiting with her customers when she was out and about.  Lori was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her daughter Marcia.  She also enjoyed her pets.  Lori's father, Mr. Barry Gillespie was a WW2 veteran and she was a staunch supporter of our veterans.  She was also very active in the local VFW.  Lori attended both Southside Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Aberdeen.

Lori is survived by her daughter, Marcia Miller, Aberdeen; sister, Leah Ditto (Lester) of Memphis; brothers, Frank Martin Gillespie (Pat) of Collierville, TN and Brent Gillespie of Clearwater, FL; companion and friend, Bubba Rieves; former husband and Marcia's dad, Robbie Miller, Saltillo; a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Lauren Ditto; grandparents, Dr. B.L. and Frances Martin, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gillespie.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Tisdale Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen with Bro. Landon Ditto officiating.  Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Dustin Poss, Wesley Hopkins, Neal Roberts, Steve Gill, Richard Kyle and Lonnie Red.  Honorary pallbearers will be Shawn Renfro and Paul Moore.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on saturday from noon until 1:45 PM.
