Mable Welch

Mable C. Flippo Welch, 96, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at the Care Center of Aberdeen. Loving daughter of Green and Viola Whitaker Flippo, she was born on April 28, 1926.  Growing up in the Bartahatchie Community, she later married Ronald Welch, Sr.  Prior to her retiring, she worked in the garment plant in Hamilton.  Mable was the consummate homemaker and loved nothing more than for her family to be together especially during the holidays.  She had a great sense of pride and kept her home immaculate.  Not only the inside of her home, but she also kept her yard to perfection.  She loved to mow and garden.  In addition to this, she could often be found with a fishing pole in her hands.  She was a member of Fig Hill Church.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2022, at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Aberdeen.  Burial will follow in the Center Hill Cemetery.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Ronald H. Welch, Jr. (Julia) of Amory; her twin daughters, Glenda and Linda Welch both of Hamilton; brother, Bro. Charles Flippo (Helen) of Gattman; one sister, Thelma of Sulligent Alabama; 6 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald H. Welch, Sr.; 2 sisters; and 5 brothers.

Her family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be on Sunday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
