Mary Christine Plunkett

Mary Christine Plunkett, 94, passed away suddenly, Friday, April 12, 2019, at her residence. She was born on September 11, 1924, in Lee County to Tracy and Mamie Roebuck Burt. She had lived most all of her life in Lee County, was a retired factory worker and a Baptist. She enjoyed spending time with her dog, working in her yard and garden, & being with her family.
Survivors include one daughter, Juanita Payne (Jimmy Dale) of Nettleton; one son, Charles Plunkett ( Betty Jo) of Amory; one sister, Frankie Estes of Tupelo; one special niece, Faye Payne of Plantersville; five grandchildren, Michael Plunkett (Melissa), Tony Plunkett (Tambra), Chris Payne, Dan Payne (Alicia), & Butch Payne; nine great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Audie Plunkett; her parents; three sisters, Margaret Langley, Erlene Blake, Grady Lou Moore: two brothers, Lee Hollis Burt and Stacy Burt; & one infant sibling.
Pallbearers will be Michael Plunkett, Tony Plunkett, Chris Payne, Dan Payne, Dillon Payne, Bubba Wiygul.
Honorary pallbearers will be Butch Payne, Carroll Pettigrew, & Noah Estes.
