Mary Rosalie Jonas

Mary Rosalie "Rose" Jonas, 88, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at her residence in Prairie. Born on August 16, 1937 in Chattanooga, TN to parents Wilson Daniel Miles and Kathleen Francis (McBride) Miles. She was a proud graduate of the University of Alabama where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi. She had worked with her husband, Mike, as his legal assistant in his law firm. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Aberdeen. Rose was an avid rider of horses and she showcased Quarter, English and Western Pleasure. She loved animals especially, Greyhounds and Bull Terriers. 

Left to cherish her memory are her two devoted sons, Michael Jonas, Jr. (Teresa) of Meridian;  Eric Miles Jonas of Prairie; grandchildren, Kelly Rose Evans (Joe), Anja Ellis (Brad); two great grandchildren Emma and Damon and special caregivers, Louveina Brown, Annie Buchanan, Kay and hospice nurse, Caitlyn Lacy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Michael Jonas and her brother, Wilson Daniel Miles.
