Nellie Ruth Jenkins

Nellie Ruth Adams Jenkins, 91, passed away on June 20, 2025 at NMMC in Tupelo.  She was born in Aberdeen on March 18, 1934 to the late Reuben and Fannie Pickens Adams.  Nellie was a homemaker and enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends.  She looked forward to being around others.  She attended Grace Chapel Baptist Church.

Nellie is survived by her grandsons, Tim Corbell (Kathy), Amory and Jamie Corbell, Aberdeen; sister, Diane Bowen; great grandchildren, Staci Corbell and MacKenzie Corbell;; great great grandchildren, Adah, Jenna, Kellan, Kylee, Kloee, Karlee and Kaleb; several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughters, Geneva Capps and Gail Brewer; grandson, Jonathan Capps; 3 brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Tisdale Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen with Bro. Robert Fowlkes officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Hope Coontail Cemetery.
