Patricia Garrett

Patricia A. Garrett, 86, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. Born on September 1, 1939 in Aberdeen, she was a daughter of James B. and Mattie Baugh Cook. She was the widow of Billy Fred Garrett and for many years, she worked for Wal-Mart. Watching hummingbirds was a favorite activity of hers along with crocheting when she was able. She loved her cat, Mrs. Bea and she was a member of First Christian Church in Aberdeen.

Graveside services will be at 12 noon on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Lebanon Cemetery with Bo Stahl officiating. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

She is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Jones and Barba Shackelford; brother, Buddy Mobley (Hazel); sister, Martha Cook “Cookie” Saylor; grandchildren, April Strawbridge and Garrett Jones; and great grandchildren, Lexie Bradberry, James Clifton, Christian Jones, Channing Jones, and Novaleigh Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister Theresa Estis.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 11:45 at the funeral home.
