Patsy Tucker

October 16, 1939 — March 18, 2026

Aberdeen

Patsy Jane Tucker passed away peacefully at home after an extended illness on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

She was born on October 16, 1939, in Dyer County, Tennessee, to Marjorie Bradshaw Cole and Reuben Cole. Patsy was raised in the close-knit community of RoEllen, Tennessee, where she enjoyed her childhood on the Bradshaw family farm. She graduated from Dyersburg High School in May 1957 and later married her high school sweetheart, Henry Tucker, on February 14, 1959.

The couple moved to Corinth, Mississippi, before settling in Aberdeen, Mississippi, where they built a life together. Patsy was a devoted homemaker and worked in various roles over the years, most often alongside her husband at Sherwin-Williams Paint Company. Together, they raised two children, Carrie Ann and Thomas Cole Tucker.

Patsy and Henry were longtime members of First Christian Church, where Patsy was actively involved in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and Circle III. She lovingly prepared Sunday meals each week, creating a special time for family to gather and connect.

She enjoyed being involved in her community through the Junior Women’s League and Red Hat Society. Patsy also loved traveling with friends to Mississippi State University to attend sporting events. She had a special fondness for the beach and treasured annual family vacations. Above all, Patsy took great joy in supporting her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in all their activities. She especially loved shopping for them, particularly selecting Sunday and Easter outfits.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. David Synder and Bro. Dale Carr officiating. Burial to follow in the Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 am until the service time at the funeral home.

Patsy is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Henry Tucker; her daughter Carrie Ann Barker (Phil); her son Thomas Cole Tucker (Shannon); and her grandchildren, Elizabeth Mobley (Brad); Brett Barker (Allie Pilgrim); Georgia Tucker (Foster Saunders), Thomas Henry Tucker, and Elliott Tucker. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Mary Elliott Mobley, Taylor Mobley, Ann Thomas Barker, and special friends, Kyle and Lillian White.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister and brother-in law, Marvin and Betty Maenhoudt, her brother, Carey Cole, and special friends, Bobbie and Elizabeth Jackson.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Legacy Hospice, her devoted sitters, and the chaplain for their compassionate care, comfort, and support during her final days.

Pallbearers will be Brett Barker, Brad Mobley, Taylor Mobley, Thomas Henry Tucker, Elliott Tucker, and Foster Saunders.
