Peggy Imogene (Jackson) Hodges, 90, of Nettleton, peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 10, 2026. A faithful servant of God, devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and cherished friend. Peggy lived a life that reflected grace, kindness and unwavering faith in Christ.
Born on April 18, 1936 to Charlie and Bessie Jackson of Nettleton, Peggy was raised in the community she dearly loved. She faithfully attended Jones Chapel Baptist Church and Nettleton First Baptist Church where she was a member. Her strong Christian faith guided every step of her journey and served as the foundation of her home and family. She graduated from Nettleton High School in 1954.
She went on to touch countless lives throughout her lifetime. Though she held a few jobs, Peggy was especially known and loved for her 20 years as a teacher's assistant within the Nettleton School District. She impacted many students by demonstrating patience, compassion and encouragement.
Peggy shared a beautiful marriage of 65 years with the love of her life, the late LQ Hodges of Nettleton. Together they built a family centered on love, faith and devotion. She leaves behind her loving daughter, Rhonda Rogers (Don); daughter-in-law, Regina Hodges; five grandchildren, Neal Hodges (Stacy), Jordan Hodges (Claudia), Katie Rogers (Reanna), Betsy Rogers and Ben Rogers (Chelsea), as well as an honorary grandaughter, Paige Lee Carnathan; two great grandchildren, Blaze Hodges and Natalie Hodges; and a special friend Cindy Dillard, along with a host of beloved nieces, nephews and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Bessie Jackson; her sister, Charlene Schumpert of Nettleton; her beloved husband, LQ Hodges; her son, Steve Hodges. Peggy will be rembered for having a servant's heart, a steadfast faith and a love for her family. While her loved ones grieve her earthly passing, they rejoice in knowing that she has heard the words, "Well done thou good and faithful servant", and is now resting eternally in the arms of her Savior.
Services will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton with Bro. Wes Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery.
