R.B. Adams

R.B. Adams, 90, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at North MS Medical Center Hospice after an extended illness. He was born on December 26, 1928, in Baldwyn to Curtis and Norma Bishop Adams. R.B. was a native of Baldwyn but had resided in Nettleton for the past 20 years, was a veteran in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, a retired professional truck driver for over 20 years, and a Baptist. He loved spending time with his family, working in his yard, playing with his dogs, & watching non-stop Westerns. R.B. loved playing his guitar and listening to bluegrass, country, & gospel music. Survivors include his wife, Betty Holley Adams, to whom he was married for 33 years; his children, Vickie Buckelew (James), Janie Adams, Susan Smith (Joel), Mike Smith (Kristy), Rodney Smith, Steven Smith (Christy), & Shelley Wilson (Bruce); 17 grandchildren, Gregory Adams, Jennifer Chavez (Alex), Jessie Nino (Sheri), Nathan Adams, Justin Rayburn, Melanie Ewing (Marty), Megan Smith, Brandon Smith, Matt Smith, Hayley Smith, Hunter Smith, Morgan Gresham, Katie Smith, Alexia Smith, Jonathan Smith, Clint Smith, Brittany Celeski (Nate); 12 great-grandchildren; & one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Janice Adams; 3 sisters, Lois Crab, Ruby Prentice, & Lucille Barrett; one brother, Robert “Red” Adams.
