Rick Earl Gilmore, age 65, died Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at Aberdeen Monroe County Hospital. He was born November 14, 1954, to Royce Gilmore and Hazel Nell Rye Gilmore in Columbus, MS. He lived most of his life in Hamilton where he was a member of Hamilton Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Caldwell High School, Itawamba Community College, and Mississippi State University. He had worked at Glenn Machine Works in Columbus. He loved bass fishing and model trains.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2020, in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with Bro. Robert Moore officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Gosa Hodges Gilmore of Hamilton, MS; one son, Bradley Gilmore of Hamilton, MS; his father, Royce Gilmore of Columbus, MS; one sister, Cathy Gilmore Lindsay of Columbus, MS; one grandchild, Lexi Gilmore; two nephews; and two great-nephews. Preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Nell Rye Gilmore.
Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time, Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen.
