Ruth Ray Brown

Ruth Ray Brown, age 92, died Monday, November 19, 2018, at Care Center of Aberdeen. She was born October 8, 1926, to John M. Ray and Mildred Morgan Ray in Aberdeen. She was a graduate of Aberdeen High School and attended MSCW in Columbus. She retired as a secretary for the MS State Joint Budget Committee. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Aberdeen. Survivors include her husband, Clarence Brown of Aberdeen, MS; two sons, Rick Brown (Mary) of Trussville, AL and David R. Brown (Jayne Perkins Brown) of Chelsea, AL; two sisters, Joyce R. Brasfield (Dane) of Florence, AL and Johnnie R. Rogers of Aberdeen, MS; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Doris Ray McCallum.
