Ruth Moore

 Ruth Moore, 98, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at her residence. She was born on October 16, 1927 in Smithville, MS to William Dewey Emory and Maggie Lou (Moffett) Emory. She had resided in Columbus, Georgia for most of her life. She was retired from Dolly Madison Bakery and was a member of First Christian Church in Aberdeen,MS. Ruth was a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews. She loved animals and gave generously to several humane societies in Columbus, GA. Ruth loved to travel and go on tours. 

Funeral Services will be 12:30 pm on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Aberdeen with Bro. David Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery.

Visitation will be prior to service from 11:30-12:30 pm at the funeral home.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews and a special friend & neighbor, Keith Eason.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and her husband John Moore.

Pallbearers will be Keith Eason, Mike Harbor, Eddie White and Charles White.
