Sarah Fowler

Sarah Alice Hall Fowler, 82, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo. Born on July 1, 1943, she was a daughter to Marvin and Sula Green Hall. A lifelong resident of the Nettleton area, she worked in the garment and furniture factories before retiring. She was Presbyterian in faith, and she enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening. In addition, she was gifted in making quilts and baking. Her greatest joy was being with her family.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Nettleton with Bro. Ben Raper officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.

She is survived by one daughter, Julia Mitchem (David); three sons, John Fowler, Jr. (Sherry), Tony Fowler, and David Fowler (Tawana Nicole); 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Ann Allred; two brothers, Tommy Hall (Geneva) and John C. Hall (Peggy); and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 47 years, John H. Fowler, Sr.; and her five siblings, Earl Hall, Robert Hall, Florene Hallmark, Joe Hall, James "Popcorn" Hall, and Roger Hall.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Miller, Jimmy Hall, Kenny Hall, Scott Cooper, Chris Allred, and Steve Barnett.

Visitation will be from noon until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
