Scottie Lee Fleming, 53, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at his residence after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on August 31,1972 in Lee County, MS to parents Richard and Priscilla (Cooper) Fleming. Scottie had formerly worked in construction building bridges and homes. Most recently Scottie had been working as a rehabilitation counselor. He was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed fishing, grilling and watching documentaries. He also enjoyed being outdoors and being with friends and family. He cherished his friends and family at God's House of Hope. He loved to praise the Lord with God's people. He was a testimony that God can take the bad and turn it great!
Funeral services will be at 11 am on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Crosspointe Fellowship Church in Nettleton with Bro. Stanley Shook, Bro. Wesley Edwards and Bro. Kevin Balius officiating. Burial will be in East Marietta Baptist Church Cemetery in Prentiss County. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Nettleton will be in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be at Crosspointe Fellowship Church on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 5-8 pm and on Friday prior to service at the church from 10-11 am.
He is survived by two daughters, Braylee Fleming Jenkins (Nelson), Laken Fleming Martin (Michael) his beloved grandchildren, Gibson Jenkins, Beckett Jenkins, Cherokee Martin, one sister, Tammy Hayes (James), one brother, Jeff Fleming (Tracey), two nieces, Shasta Frost, Madison Frost, the mother of his daughters, Angie Taylor and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.
Scottie is also lovingly remembered by his cousin, Amy Shook Coyle and her husband Nick who's unwavering love care, devotion and constant presence by his side were a true blessing to him and his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his infant sister,Theresa Fleming and his grandparents Oscar & Annie Taylor Fleming and Joseph & Dorothy Barnett Cooper.
Pallbearers will be Mark Shook, Michael Rakestraw, Jeff Fleming, Kent Anderson, Hunter Tolar and Isaiah Leatherwood.
