Sherry Elizabeth Childers Shumpert

Sherry Elizabeth Childers Shumpert, 64, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019, after an extended illness at North MS Medical Center Hospice. She was born on March 3, 1955, in Ashland to Jimmie Wayne and Mary Elizabeth Kimery Childers. She had lived most all of her life in Nettleton, but had resided in Selmer, TN for the past year. Sherry was a retired nurse and was a member of the First Christian Church in Aberdeen. Sherry enjoyed working in her flower garden, reading, & being with her family. Survivors include her husband, David R. Shumpert of Nettleton; one daughter, Kimberly Smith (Justin) of LaGrange, TN; one son, James Shumpert of Wiggins; two sisters, Judy Taylor (Benny) of Savannah, TN and Bettie Bradford of Ashland; two grandchildren, Waverly, and Alena Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Terry Childers.
