Shirley Irene Box

Nettleton-  On July 20, 2025, Shirley Irene (Fuller) Box loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and great-grandmother, met Jesus face to face in Heaven. Her prayers were answered and she made Heaven her home, Shirley was born on June 20, 1946 in Temont, MS to parents Fred Braxton Fuller and Lillie Mauldin Fuller. She was raised in Tremont and  attended school there.  She met, fell in love, and married Jerry Box on June 5, 1965. They were blessed to celebrate 60 years of loving each other and serving their Lord at Emmanuel Assembly of God in Nettleton, MS.  She had a been a seamstress with Monroe Trouser. Shirley had a passion for sewing ,cooking, hosting family gatherings and enjoying time with her family and church family.

Services will be on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 12 noon at Emmanuel Assembly of God Church in Nettleton with Rev. Bryan Woods, Rev. Sammy John Raper officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Nettleton will be in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be prior to service at the church from 10:00 am-12:00 pm. 

She is survived by her husband Jerry Box of Nettleton,MS; daughters, Amanda Northington of Amory, MS; Melissa Simonson (Scott) of Amory, MS; granddaughters, Jordan Tilley (Jacob) of Ethelsville, AL , Alexia Simonson of Amory, MS; grandson-in-law, Ben McDill of Reform, Al, great grandchildren, Palyn Tilley, Roper Tilley, Tylan Cromeans, Oliver McDill , sister Cheryl Elaine Williams (Rex) of Richmond, VA and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter,Lynndon McDill, son-in-law, Ricky Northington, mother-in -law, Hazel Cheney and sister-in-law, Martha Dulap.

Pallbearers will be Scott Simonson, Jacob Tilley, Ben McDill, Stanley West,Johnny Cheney and J.C. Kingsley.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Troy Dunlap. Carey Lee Dunlap, Davey Box, David Box, Bobby Oliver and Carey Dunlap.
