Shorty Moody

Johnny Lesly “Shorty” Moody, 44, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at North Mississippi Medical Center-Gilmore.  He was born on March 27, 1979 to John and Martha Hall Moody.  A life-long resident of the Nettleton area he liked being outdoors and fishing.  Time spent with family is what he cherished most.  He was Baptist by faith.  

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Jones Chapel Cemetery with Bro. John Fowler officiating. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Nettleton is entrusted with the arrangements.

He is survived by three sisters, Barbara Moore, Tina Hawkins (Jimmy), and Nancy Moody; and several nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Jackson Moore.
