William "Bill" Jackson

William Edward “Bill” Jackson, 97, passed away from this life on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Oak Tree Manor in Amory. Born in Monroe County on June 29, 1928, he was a son to Hershel and Mary Viola Miller Jackson. Mr. Bill lived most of his life in Monroe County and was married to the former Wren Medley who preceded him in death. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Form from which he retired as a Master Seargent. South Nettleton Baptist Church is where he worshipped and devoted much of his time. In addition, he enjoyed yard work, but his proudest was being with his family.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 18, 2025 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Nettleton with Bro. Jeff Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery.

He is survived by his two sons, David Jackson (Lynda) and Richard Jackson (Melissa); 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife of 69 years, Wren Jackson; one son, Paul Randle Jackson; one brother, Albert Jackson; and one sister, Katherine Evans.

Pallbearers will be his family members.

Visitation will be from noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
