Woodie T. Taylor, age 81, died Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory. He was born November 17, 1937, to Woodie Taylor and Lillian West Taylor in Quincy, MS. He was a lifelong resident of Monroe County. He was a 1955 graduate of White Haven High School in Memphis, TN. He was the United States Air Force Veteran. He was a lifelong member of West Chapel Church of Christ. He retired in 2006 as a supervisor at Georgia Gulf in Aberdeen. He was a devoted husband, he loved his family, his church and his country. He loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his grandchildren. Survivors include one stepdaughter, Tina Dunaway (Richard ) of Athens, MS; three stepsons, Johnny Law (Susie) of Sulligent, AL, Richard Law of Aberdeen, MS, and Bryan Law (Penny) of Columbus, MS. Preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ann Taylor; and sister, Patricia Eichenser.
